Mr. Reade was appointed on May 25, 2007. He is owner of Global Strategy Expression Limited, a consulting and advisory services business in the life sciences industry. From 2000 until his retirement in 2005, he served as Executive Chairman of Merial Limited, a leading animal health company and joint venture between Merck & Co. Inc. and Sanofi- Aventis. Earlier in his career he was head of global integration at Aventis, where he was in charge of merger integration. Prior to that he was Chief Executive Officer of Rhone-Poulenc Agro Inc. and member of the Global Management Board.
Having committed his career to biomedical research and development, Dr. Schultz began his corporate work as Executive Director, World-Wide Animal Science Research & Development at Merck. He was one of the founding executives to combine the Animal Health Division of Merck with Rhone Merieux and was subsequently appointed Head of Pharmaceutical Research and Development. Following that, Dr. Schultz assumed the role of Chief Scientific Officer and Global Head of all Research and Development for Merial (pharmaceutical and biological).
Dr. Schultz received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Florida Medical School before joining Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health as a Fellow in Cancer Biology. He was a Professor in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and had his own private veterinary practice. Dr. Schultz has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and contributed to more than 20 books and compendiums. He is also a Venture Fellow with the Georgia Research Alliance.
In addition to his responsibilities as CSO, Dr. Schultz is also leading the Functional Foods and Animal Health Research and Development at TyraTech.
Mr. Jerome graduated from Manhattan College, New York, with a B.S., Accounting and is a C.P.A. He spent 10 years with the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he was a Senior Manager in Audit Services.
For the past 10 years Mr. Jerome has been with Albany Molecular Research, Inc. (AMRI). AMRI is a publicly traded international research and development and manufacturing company focusing on providing a full complement of pharmaceutical services from drug discovery to the commercial manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients. It has revenues in excess of $200 million, total assets over $350 million and 1,300 employees worldwide.
Initially at AMRI Mr. Jerome held the position of Director of Finance and Corporate Controller, and for the past 3 years he has been Director, Investor Relations / Financial Planning and Analysis.
Mr. Wetherall is responsible for managing the company's commercial operations and key strategic partnerships. Before joining TyraTech in 2007, Mr. Wetherall was Managing Partner of Enright Partners, a boutique investment banking and advisory firm specializing in strategic transactions for emerging technology companies. Prior to Enright, Mr. Wetherall was Chief Executive of EMX and Ideal Systems.
After serving his country in the US Navy SEAL Teams, Mr. Wetherall held senior positions at Advisory Services and NorthStar Research, working in operations, finance, mergers and acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Marshall University and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the UDT-SEAL Association.
Dr. Kennedy has more than 22 years of experience in the development of global consumer products. As Director of S.C. Johnson and Son's (SCJ) Insect Control Product Development Division, he led global development teams that successfully introduced over 75 new chemical specialty products worldwide, products that are now being sold in over 100 countries. Dr. Kennedy's key product responsibilities at SCJ included: Raid® and Bagyon® insecticides; Off!® and Autan® insect repellents. He also had experience managing a number of SCJ's home cleaning brands. Before moving into product development, Dr. Kennedy directed the efforts of SCJ's Entomology Research Center.
As the technical spokesperson for the Raid® and OFF! Brands, Dr. Kennedy has appeared on a number of national television shows in the US including Good Morning America, The Regis and Kathy Lee show; NBC's Today show, A.M. Los Angeles, and The David Letterman show.
For the last five years, Dr. Kennedy has worked as a private consultant for new insect control and repellent technology. Prior to joining private industry, he was an Associate Professor of Entomology (with tenure) at Michigan State University.
Dr. Kennedy has a B.S. in Biology from the Hendrix College, and a MS and Ph.D. in Entomology from Cornell University. He is a member of: the American Mosquito Control Association; the Entomological Society of America; and the North American Nature Photographers Association. He is a co-author on 6 patents involving insect control technology.
Dr. Kennedy is leading the Product Development efforts at TyraTech.
